(ACÁCIO) A classically trained stage actor, Alexandre Borges was a member of Ulysses Cruz's theater company Boi Voador, from São Paulo, starring in several of their plays such as Velhos Marinheiros, Corpo de Baile and Pantaleão e as Visitadoras. Mr. Borges starred in the episodic drama Guerra sem Fim (TV Manchete), and in several TV Globo productions, including the miniseries Incidente em Antares and Engraçadinha, and the prime-time episodic TV dramas A Próxima Vítima, Zazá and Pecado Capital.

Alexandre Borges made his feature film debut in Mil e Uma, directed by Suzana de Moraes, followed by Terra Estrangeira, from Walter Salles and Daniela Thomas. In the past two years, the actor gave memorable performances in Amor & Cia. (Helvécio Ratton), Traição (José Henrique Fonseca's segment "Cachorro!"), Um Copo de Cólera (Aluízio Abranches) and Até Que a Vida Nos Separe (José Zaragoza).
