(ROBERTO) Stage and TV actor and writer, Pedro Cardoso enjoys the reputation of one of the best comedy actors in the country. He wrote, directed, and starred in Os Ignorantes, and recently also starred in the stage productions of Cinco x Comédia and Noite de Reis. Cardoso also wrote and starred in the TV series A Vida ao Vivo Show, and has guest starred in many episodes of the popular TV series A Comédia da Vida Privada (TV Globo).
On the screen, directed by Jorge Furtado, he starred in the short-film A matadeira, as wells as in A Felicidade É's segment "A Estrada". In the film Veja Esta Canção, he co-starred with Débora Bloch in the segment "Drão". Pedro Cardoso made his feature film debut starring Four Days in September (O Que é Isso, Companheiro?), in the role of Paulo, the leading male character.. He's also starred in the feature films Traição (the segment "O Primeiro Pecado", directed by Arthur Fontes), and in Por Trás do Pano, directed by Luiz Villaça.
In BOSSA NOVA, his second collaboration with director Bruno Barreto, Pedro Cardoso plays Roberto, Pedro Paulo (Fagundes)'s half-brother, who falls in love with Sharon (Giovanna Antonelli).
Pedro Cardoso sees his character Roberto as "a romantic with a certain difficulty with his emotional relationships, who falls in love with Sharon. However, he never manages, not for a single moment, to declare his love openly. Therefore, it's the story of a guy who can't tell this girl he loves her."
According to Pedro Cardoso, acting in the romantic comedy BOSSA NOVA was a great pleasure: "I really like this genre, which is currently quite unexplored in Brazil. I think love should be light-hearted, and that love and humor form a perfect marriage, it's hot on cold, like ice cream with a hot chocolate fudge."
He also comments on the pleasure of co-starring with Antonio Fagundes: "I've been a great fan of his for so long and, among the many wonderful opportunities films give us, one of them was this chance to work with him".
