RHYS IFANS (Gerry Evans)
Rhys Ifans (Gerry Evans) Welsh actor Rhys Ifans' first screen role was in August, directed by Anthony Hopkins for Granada Films. Since then, he has appeared in Streetlife, in the leading role of Terry Gross' Renegade Films production of The Sin Eater, Twin Town for Figment Films (the production company founded by cutting edge director, Danny Boyle), and The Heart. Following Dancing at Lughnasa, Ifans has co-starred in Notting Hill for director Roger Mitchell, and in director Andy Hurst's You're Dead. On-stage, he has performed in Theatr Clwyd, Royal Court, Royal National and Donmar Warehouse productions including "Hamlet", "Brand", "Midsummer Night's Dream", "As You Like It", "Poison Pen", "Smoke", "Beautiful Thing", "Volpone" and "Bad Finger". Ifans' television credits include series regular roles in Review and Night Shift; as well as starring roles in Judas and the Gimp, The Two Franks and the BBC production of Macbeth.
