Frank McGuinness
(Screenwriter) - Frank McGuinness is the author of such celebrated plays as "Observe the Sons of Ulster Marching Toward the Somme", "Innocence", "The Factory Girls" and "Someone Who'll Watch Over Me". He has also earned acclaim for his reworking of classic plays such as "Peer Gynt", "Hedda Gabler", "Uncle Vanya" and his recent success with "The Caucasian Chalk Circle". McGuinness' television works include Scout (1987) and Henhouse, which won two awards at the 1990 Prague International Television Festival. His most play "Mutabilitie" enjoyed a lauded run at The National Theatre, following a Tony Award-winning adaptation of "A Doll's House". McGuinness also lectures in the Department of English, University College, Dublin.
