J. Todd Harris

Producer

J. Todd Harris is an independent producer based at Davis Entertainment in Los Angeles, where he produces and develops film and television projects.

A graduate of Stanford University, Harris became managing director of TheaterWorks, a regional company based in Palo Alto, CA., where he quintupled the company's subscriber base and annual operating budget. The organization continues to stand as one of the West Coast's foremost regional theater companies, maintaining some 9,000 subscribers and an operating budget of over $1.2 million.

Harris left TheaterWorks to return to Stanford, this time for his MBA in 1986. Harris then entered into a relationship with the newly formed Tri-Star Television. Within a year, he joined the Trilogy Entertainment Group (PRINCE OF THIEVES, BACKDRAFT) as an independent producer. In 1989, Harris joined Davis Entertainment (PREDATOR, THE FIRM, GRUMPY OLD MEN) and formed Skyline Entertainment, a film development partnership, where he serves as General Partner.

With Davis Entertainment, Harris raised private funding for DENISE CALLS UP, which he and Davis Entertainment produced in New York City in the summer of 1994. Harris also served as Executive in Charge of Production for Showtime's original movie, HEADS, starring Jon Cryer, Ed Asner, and Jennifer Tilly. With the president of Davis Entertainment, John Davis, he has also developed and sold feature projects to United Artists, Universal, Warner Bros., Interscope, and Disney. Harris most recently produced the independently financed CADILLAC RANCH starring Christopher Lloyd, Lara Flynn Boyle, and Caroleen Feeney.
