Monsieur Ibrahimthe music of the 60s

In the mid-1960's, teenagers in France made the transistor radio their own. Instead of listening to the radio with their families, they went to their rooms and turned on their transistors. Their preferred program? Salut Les Copains, which aired after school from 5-7pm. By 1963, more than half of all French 13-16 year olds listened to the show. Their preferred music was English rock 'n' roll and its French counterpart "le yeye."
