John Goodman as the promoter
JOHN GOODMAN (Uncle Sweetheart) is one of the entertainment industry's most respected actors. He earned a Golden Globe nomination for his performance in the Coen Brother's BARTON FINK. He has also earned seven Emmy nominations, a Screen Actors Guild nomination and Golden Globe for his starring role in the long-running television series "Roseanne." The show also garnered him two American Comedy Awards and seven additional Golden Globe nominations. Additional awards include two Emmy nominations for A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE and a Golden Satellite Award nomination for THE BIG LEBOWSKI.

Goodman has also lent his voice to numerous animated characters, which include MONSTERS, INC., THE EMPEROR'S NEW GROOVE and THE JUNGLE BOOK II. His television movie credits include TNT's "Kingfish: A Story of Huey P. Long," and "The Jack Bull."
Goodman began his career on stage, performing in dinner theatre and children's theatre productions and in several off-Broadway plays. He recently starred in the New York production of "The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui". In 2001, John starred in the Shakespeare in the Park production of "The Seagull." His regional theatre credits include "Henry IV, Parts I and II," "Antony and Cleopatra" and "As You Like It." After performing with a road production of "The Robber Bridegroom," he went on to star in two Broadway shows, "Loose Ends" in 1979 and "Big River" in 1985. Goodman made his screen debut in the HBO production "Mystery of Moro Castle."
