Kevin Macdonald has made numerous documentaries since 1994, including several about artists and filmmakers. These include The Moving World of George Rickey, Howard Hawks: American Artist, A Brief History of Errol Morris, and Donald Cammell: The Ultimate Performance, which was given a limited theatrical release in the UK and won the Silver Hugo at the 1998 Chicago Film Festival. His biography of his grandfather, the acclaimed Anglo-Hungarian filmmaker Emeric Pressburger, was published by Faber and Faber in 1995 and won the BFI film book of the year award. In 1997, he co-edited Imagining Reality: The Faber Book of Documentary. |
