Liu Pei Qi (Master Ren) graduated from the
Drama Department at the Liberation Army Art Institute and then he was assigned
in 1983 to the Urumqi Military District Drama Troupe. In 1987, he was transferred
to the Central Experimental Drama Institute, where he performed in "The Hatred
of Tai Mountain," "Looking for the Devil," "Two Songs Opening the Store" and "Divorce."
He won the Best Actor Award at the Golden Rooster Festival for his performance
in the "The Story of Qui Ju." Other roles include appearances "The Days Without
a Hero," as television's Ji Feng Lan and in "The Legendary Zhen Ban Qiao." He
also received the 1996 Golden Rooster Best Actor Award for "Unregrettable Chase."
