Jan De Bont (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) -- Dutch-born director/producer Jan De Bont made a stunning directorial debut with the original Speed, starring Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock, following a celebrated career as one of Hollywood's most sought-after cinematographers.
De Bont came to Hollywood as a cameraman on the heels of an enormously successful career in his native Holland, with such credits as Strictly Business, the Oscar-nominated Turkish Delight, Keetje Tippel and The Fourth Man. His credits in the US as a D.P. include The Jewel of the Nile, Ruthless People, Die Hard, Black Rain, Flatliners, Lethal Weapon 3, The Hunt for Red October and Basic Instinct.
After the 1994 worldwide success of Speed, De Bont solidified his reputation with the blockbuster Twister, which to date has grossed over $460 million. In 1997, he directed Speed 2, which has enjoyed enormous success internationally. He is currently in pre-production on his next big action-adventure, while developing other projects with other directors under his "blue tulip productions" banner.
