Tango -- The Production
JUAN C. CODAZZI (Producer) -- Though Mr. Codazzi is something of a newcomer in the international film production arena, his proposal to produce a picture which would be a tribute to Tango music met with overwhelming enthusiasm on the part of all those involved in the project.

One after the other, Carlos Saura, Lalo Schifrin and Vittorio Storaro, followed by all the outstanding dancers, musicians and performers he approached, keenly responded to Codazzi's invitation to partake in this "unique motion picture event."

Mr. Codazzi's career in films began in Argentina as an assistant director, short feature director and television commercials producer and director. H then relocated to Puerto Rico where, after a successful career in advertising with renowned international agencies such as BBD&O and Ogilvy and Mather, he decided to come back to his original passion: movie-making.

He first made a TV special on the life and times of Argentina's foremost tango singer Carlos Gardel, and then produced and co-wrote Tango Bar, starring the late and much regretted Raúl Julia, which has become a cult film among tango and dance buffs. More recently, Mr. Codazzi produced Manhattan Merengue, starring Lumi Cavazos and Marco Leonardi, the leading couple from Like Water for Chocolate.
