Carter Burwell

(Composer) has written and recorded the music for a number of feature films, including "Blood Simple," "Raising Arizona," "Miller's Crossing," "Barton Fink," "The Hudsucker Proxy," "And The Band Played On," "Kalifornia," "Waterland," "It Could Happen To You," and "Rob Roy."

His work in theater includes the chamber opera, "The Celestial Alphabet Event," Ariel Dorfman's play "Widows," and Mabou Mines' production "Mother."

As a vocalist, accordionist, and synthesist he has performed with Big Joe, The Harmonic Choir, and The Litwinski Ensemble, in France, Italy, Germany, Australia, and many venues in New York.

Recordings of his work are available on Virgin, MCA Records, Varese-Sarabande Records, Factory Records, and Les Disques du Crepescule.
