JEFF BRIDGES (Tom Friend) is a four-time Academy Award nominee. He earned his first Oscar nod in 1971 for Best Supporting Actor in THE LAST PICTURE SHOW. Three years later he received his second nomination, again for Best Supporting Actor in THUNDERBOLT AND LIGHTFOOT. In 1984 he received a Best Actor nomination for STARMAN, a performance that also earned him a Golden Globe nomination. In 2001, he was honored with another Golden Globe nomination and his fourth Oscar nomination for his role in THE CONTENDER. He also received an IFP/Spirit Award in 1993 for Best Actor for his role in AMERICAN HEART, which he also produced.

Bridges' recently wrapped SEABISCUIT for Universal Pictures and currently is in production on Focus Features' DOOR IN THE FLOOR, based on the first section of the John Irving novel A Widow for One Year.

The actor's multi-faceted career has encompassed virtually all genres in film. He has starred in numerous box office hits including Terry Gilliam's offbeat comedic drama THE FISHER KING, the multiple-award nominated THE FABULOUS BAKER BOYS, JAGGED EDGE, BLOWN AWAY and FEARLESS. Additional feature credits include THE BIG LEBOWSKI with John Goodman, ARLINGTON ROAD, THE MUSE, WHITE SQUALL, WILD BILL, THE MIRROR HAS TWO FACES, TUCK; THE MAN AND HIS DREAM, FAT CITY, STAY HUNGRY, BAD COMPANY, AGAINST ALL ODDS, CUTTER'S WAY, THE VANISHING, K-PAK, SIMPATICO, SCENES OF THE CRIME, TEXASVILLE, THE MORNING AFTER, NADINE, RANCHO DELUXE, SEE YOU IN THE MORNING, EIGHT MILLION WAYS TO DIE, THE LAST AMERICAN HERO and HEART OF THE WEST.

In addition to Bridges' stellar movie career, he released his first album, Be Here Soon on Ramp Records, the label he co-founded with vocalist and keyboardist Michael McDonald and producer, singer and songwriter Chris Pelonis.

One of Bridges' true passions is photography. Later this year, Bridges' will add published author to his credits when PowerHouse Books publishes and distributes a hardback compellation of his on-set photos from the many films he has starred in over the years. Bridges' photos have been featured in several magazines including Premiere and Aperture in the United States and publications worldwide. He has also exhibited his work in Los Angeles and London. In his spare time, Bridges is also an accomplished painter.
