Synopsis

Philip Seymour Hoffman portrays Truman Capote in CAPOTE, the journey of the famed author investigating the murders of the Clutter family in Kansas and eventually writing IN COLD BLOOD, the book that cemented Capote as one of the most influential American writers of all time. Also starring Catherine Keener as author and close friend Nelle Harper Lee, Chris Cooper as detective Alvin Dewey, Bob Balaban as William Shawn and Clifton Collins Jr. as Perry Smith. CAPOTE was photographed by Adam Kimmel, edited by Christopher Tellefsen, costume designed by Kasia Walicka Maimone, production designed by Jess Gonchor and the music was composed by Mychael Danna. CAPOTE Directed by Bennett Miller and written by Daniel Futterman, based on a book by Gerald Clarke, CAPOTE was produced by Caroline Baron, William Vince and Michael Ohoven.
