BRITTANY MURPHY (Ruby Pearli) is currently receiving rave reviews for her performance as an obsessive-compulsive patient in "Girl, Interrupted," opposite Winona Ryder and Angelina Jolie. She will next be seen in "Cherry Falls," directed by Geoffrey Wright and in Showtime's "Common Ground."

Since gaining national attention from her breakthrough role as Tai Frasier in Amy Heckerling's "Clueless," Murphy's career has gained momentum with roles in "Drop Dead Gorgeous," Showtime's "Devil's Arithmetic" with Kirsten Dunst, and in Harpo Productions' "David and Lisa," opposite Lukas Haas and Sidney Poitier. Other film credits include "Drive" and "Prophecy II: Ashtown." Her talent for voices and accents can be heard each week on Fox-TV's animated comedy "King of the Hill," as the voice of LuAnne and Joseph.

Murphy recently starred in the Broadway production of Arthur Miller's Tony Award winning "A View From the Bridge." In the past year, Murphy has completed several films, including, "Zack and Reba" with Sean Patrick Flanery and Debbie Reynolds, "Bongwater" with Alicia Witt and "Phoenix" with Ray Liotta. Murphy will next play Janis Joplin in the film "Piece of My Heart."
