NATHAN LANE (Kirk Stans), a Broadway legend, is perhaps best known on film for his hilarious performance opposite Robin Williams in Mike Nichols' "The Birdcage " (for which he earned a Screen Actors Guild Award and Golden Globe nomination), as the voice of Timon the Meerkat in "The Lion King," and in the hit film "Mousehunt." Lane's other film credits include "At First Sight," "Addams Family Values," "Life With Mikey," "Frankie & Johnny," "He Said, She Said," "Ironweed," "Jeffrey," and "The Lemon Sisters." He can currently be heard as the voice of Snowbell the cat in "Stuart Little," and will soon be seen in "Isn't She Great," opposite Bette Midler and Kenneth Branagh's "Love's Labour's Lost."

Lane's television apprearances include "Molly Dodd," "Miami Vice," Great Performances "Alice In Wonderland," Terrence McNally's "The Last Mile," "The Boys Next Door," and the NBC series "Encore, Encore!" He received a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Performer in an Animated Program for his work in "The Lion King's Timon and Pumbaa."

His many Broadway credits include Terrence McNally's "Love! Valor! Compassion!" for which he won Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards, "Guys and Dolls," for which he won Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards and a Tony nomination, "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum," which earned him a Tony, Outer Critics Circle and Drama Desk Awards, Neil Simon's "Laughter On The 23rd Floor," and "Broadway Bound," "On Borrowed Time," and "Some Americans Abroad." Off-broadway credits include Terrence McNally's "Lips Together, Teeth Apart," "The Lisbon Traviata" (Drama Desk and Lucille Lortel Awards) and Jon Robin Baitz' "Mizlunsky/Zilinsky." Lane recently starred in a workshop production of the new Stephen Sondheim musical "Wise Guys," and will soon be seen on Broadway in a revival of Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman's "The Man Who Came To Dinner."
