Zhao Wei - Wen Zhu The daughter of a high ranking general in the army of the Tang Court, Wen Zhu grew up in the rough and tumble world of soldiers and the military. Moving from outpost to outpost with her family, she's grown into a worldly young woman who understands the mix of cultures in China's wild west where Chinese and Indians and Turks and Europeans meet, trade - and do battle. She had her share of adventures as a child, having been rescued from dire situations twice - once by the renowned infantry officer, Lt. Li, and in another case by the master swordsmen Lai Xi. Little does she know both of these men will return to play a major role in her life. With the war with the Turks intensifying, Wen Zhu's father entrusts her to Lai Xi to escort her back to the safety of the capital of Tang China. But Lai Xi receives urgent orders from the emperor himself, to track down and kill Lt. Li, and he brings Wen Zhu along on his adventure as he tracks Li. It's a detour which will cause Wen Zhu to search for the warrior within herself. |
